A Look Back at the 2018 Outsider Art Fair
The 2018 Outsider Art Fair at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York was a great success! With 63 galleries from over 35 cities and 7 countries, Gilley’s Gallery was pleased to return for the 26th year! One of our new pieces was “Pinwheels (Spider Lilies) created in the 1960’s by Clementine Hunter. Some of the featured pieces by Clementine Hunter included “These Big Vases, They Is Called Spanish Water Jars” and “The Auction at Melrose.” Every year we enjoy talking to our customers and hearing how the perceptions of “outsider” art change upon discovering artists like Clementine Hunter, Royal Robertson, David Butler and Shane Campbell. Thank you to all that have come out to support us!
