Friends of Gilley's Gallery donate 40 works to The American Folk Art Museum
Longtime collectors of Folk and Outsider art, Laura and Richard Parsons, recently donated 40 works to the American Folk Art Museum on the museum's 60th anniversary. The donation includes works by a number of folk artists, many featured at Gilley's Gallery, including Clementine Hunter, Sister Gertrude Morgan, and Jimmy Lee Sudduth. The museum plans to feature a number of these newly acquired works in its upcoming exhibition "Multitudes," opening on January 22nd in 2022. The American Folk Art Museum specializes in folk and outsider art and these new additions stay true to the museum's goal of exposing the public to outsider art and artists.
