Louisiana's Fontainebleau State Park is located in the city of Mandeville, with one of its borders being Lake Pontchartrain. The park was once a sugar plantation belonging to Bernard de Marigny de Mandeville. Although it is no longer an active plantation, the crumbling remains of a sugar mill are still on the site, along with a variety of wildlife.
